Project sub-Contraction Policy
Obligation
Macfam is committed to Sub-contracting committed Trained and competent workforce to support the execution of Projects, where there may be need for perceived potential schedule delay, special expertise, increased tenders and number of workforce required thereby, etc. Macfam is also committed to ensuring good management standards of Su-contractors, with regard to who has o be engaged, where, what, when, how that has to be done; how they have to operate, how to meet their dues, etc. to ensure effective sustenance of workforce, effective execution of Projects, meeting Customer needs and expectations, as well as enhancing the development of the Company at large.
Process
The Company Administration and allotted Management personnel shall be involved in the Su-contracting process, with regard to Recruitment and Approval processes.
The Sub-contracted personnel shall generally abide and work in accordance with the Macfam standards and procedures. Macfam assigned personnel shall monitor and supervise the operations to ensure compliance with the respective company Policies.
The amount to be paid to sub-contracted companies or workforce shall depend on respective individual companies /
Staff contractual prescriptions and agreements. Generally, the Sub-contracted company/ Individual, if using their own
Materials/ equipment all round/ in totality, the payment will be based on half-half of the profit generated, after
subtracting all the other expenses that may have been incurred by Macfam or the Sub-contractor. In the case where
materials used belong to Macfam, the Sub-contractor shall be paid one third of the profit generated, after subtracting
all the other expenses that may have been incurred by Macfam.
If the Sub-contracted workers are engaged as Casual workers on a temporal basis, e.g. for a period between one (1)
to six (6) months, their payment will be based on a fixed stipulated monthly amount/wedge during that period, and not
based on the profit that may/ may not be generated. The Salary structure shall, however, be based on criteria such as,
position, qualification, experience and performance.
No Company or Worker shall be sub-contracted or laid off without the consent and approval of the Manager and/ Director General.
General Principles
Macfam upholds the importance of Sub-contracting workforce to enhance timely execution and completion of Projects. Contraction of Trained and competent workforce, Execution of Projects in a Safe and professional manner, as well as task completion in line with assigned Schedules are cardinal aspects to Macfam, with regard to helping to meet Customer satisfaction as well as our Standards and expectations.
Macfam management takes the responsibility of ensuring Sub-contracting committed, trained and competent staff in
Time, depending on the needs, execution plans and the required schedule. Macfam will ensure good Sub-contractor
Engagements, Planning, Monitoring/Supervision and application of good Controls to enhance project success,
Customer expectation and mutual progress, as well as sustainability of the organization at large.
Management will be engaged in analysis and approvals of Sub-contractors prior to and during Recruitment processes,
as well as during appraisals that may warrant Contract continuity, financial Allowances, Salary deduction or increase,
Staff maintenance or disengagement, etc.

All Staff will be responsible for ensuring effective execution and delivery of duty that would warrant receipt of the salary as in accordance with the respective staff’s contractual obligations. Staff to act in a responsible, professional and an honest manner in all matters to do with salary payments and receiving of funds. Staff found wanting on serious disciplinary grounds may forfeit their salaries or suffer deductions as per contractual obligations.

ScopeThis Policy applies to all Company/ Worker Su-contracting related operations
